The road trip went surprisingly smoothly for the most part! The kids were thrilled to get 1000x more screen-time than they usually do for the day :)
Paisley even enjoyed the movies...
On the way up, we stayed half-way at a beautiful resort in Oregon...though it was a lot of fun to swim and run around and only drive 5-6 hours a day (vs 12), it was probably the worst night of sleep we have all ever had. So, we drove straight back on the way home. Here's a few pictures from the resort...
View from our balcony...
In addition to an awesome pool the kids loved, the resort also had a great playground...
Paisley loved it too <3
One of the first few things we had to do was ride every tractor, or "dapper" as Greyson calls them. Papa was happy to oblige!
We also helped plant vegetables in the garden...
It's hard to see, but Greyson was too happy to help with dirt...it's ALL over his face!
And, we played lots in their hot tub and kiddie pool (Greyson couldn't even wait to fill it with water haha)...
Ava had the best time chasing butterflies and exploring bumble bees in Grandma's garden!
We also got to visit with Great-Grandpa Don and Donna...
Back at home, Papa and Grandma had no shortage of toys for the kids to play with...
Greyson loved this wooden train so much, they kindly let him take it home <3
Who needs a crib when you have a dog bed?!
Lunch time silly selfies...
One of the fun things we got to do while visiting was seeing Dee's cousin Justin, his wife Katie and their 7 children, the last two of which are Ava and Greyson's age. We were having so much fun, I failed to get many pictures, but here's one...
One night, Grandma and Papa babysat while Dee and I went on a date walking through the wheat fields...what else do you do when the nearest anything is an hour away. It was romantic <3
Another day, we visited with Uncle Tim, Aunt Elizabeth and their 7 children...we played at Dad's old stomping grounds...
And we had lunch at the town cafe...
Greyson and Quinn (1 month apart)...
The Mains Cousins <3
