It was a lot of driving for one day, but so worth it!
We thought Ava would want to walk along the pier, after driving for two hours, but she insisted on riding in her stroller. And, she also insisted that she hold dada's hand while mama pushed. This lasted for a good 10 minutes. Heart melting moment!
Once we got to Pier 39, we headed straight for the aquarium. At the entrance, they have these coin drop mazes that Ava is obsessed with - it was hard to pull her away to see the actual fish, but after 10 pennies she obliged!
To say Ava loved the aquarium would be a huge understatement! This girl loves all living things! We think her favorite was getting to touch the starfish and sting rays, and also the underground tunnel where huge fish and sharks swim over you! Lots and lots of smiles throughout the whole adventure!

She was mesmerized by all the different jellyfish!
And, couldn't stop staring at the enormous fish and sharks in the underground tunnel...
I spy an Ava ;)...
Oh, look...another money absorbing contraption! Ava LOVES these!
Petting the stingray...
And, petting the starfish....

After the aquarium, we had lunch at the Hard Rock Cafe, where Ava refused to eat Mac-n-cheese (crazy kid!).
A very short trip, but lots of fun and a perfect way to get us out of the house for a whole day!
