Ava has so much fun playing with her friends, and those memories don't often make it into our other blog posts; so, we thought we should do a post dedicated to our play dates!
Unfortunately, I am awful at remembering to take pictures when we're out and about (ironic given how much I adore photography!), so many play dates I have no pictures to show, but here are some of the ones where I did remember (mid-Summer through mid-Fall):
Ava and buddy Emerson is the heat of the summer checking out the splash pad!
Snack break before playing more in the splash pad!
A local church has an awesome indoor play area that Ava and her friends love! We meet every Tuesday. Here Ava and Emmie are again having fun in the tables...
A Costco box is the best toy! Here Ava is with buddy Hunter...
Again with buddy Emmie at the Splash Pad, deciding which one is going to drive home...
With buddies Haddie and Emmie at our place for a BBQ with the dads too for a change...
Ava trying to feed her puree pouch to buddy James, who is about 11 months younger...
Buddy Emmie came over to play one day, and the rain didn't stop these two from getting outside!
With buddies Emmie and Izzy at the Bayside church indoor play area...
So cute! Ava and Izzy LOVE to chase each other all around Bayside...
Silly girls! Who knew a chair could be so much fun?!
With buddy Haylee at Mother Goose on the Loose...
Had to include this, even though no friend is present - it's from a play date...my adorable little girl!
Ava making sure buddy Emmie stays properly hydrated!
Our usual Tuesday afternoon play date gang - buddies Haylee, Ava, Emmie and Izzy!
5 Little Monkeys jumping on the bed Izzy, Haylee, Ava, Emmie, and Lyla...
Auntie T ("TT") hosted our most recent play date and was kind enough to let the littles go to town with her sticker collection - they loved it!
It's so much fun watching Ava play with others, and especially fun now that she recognizes and knows them. I'm excited to watch her grow up with them all!

Happy Halloween!
Ah Halloween - the only reason we like you is because 11:59PM on your day signals the very beginning of the Christmas season!
Well, little kids dressed up as cute as can be is reason to like you too, but I'm over all these neighbors with ginormous spiders affixed to their homes! I much prefer pretty Christmas lights, joyous front door wreaths, and giant red bows affixed to the homes in our neighborhood!
But, back to Halloween...
Since Ava's bedtime is 7pm, that didn't leave us much time to trick-or-treat, and with her not being old enough to understand any of it anyway or even like candy...we opted for wearing our cute fall dress from Grandmommy and trick-or-treated at Roseville's Spooktacular Family Night and Dada's work (HP) instead.
We met up with Teri and Emmie, as well as Jen and Anthony at Roseville's Spooktacular Family Night. Emmie was dressed as Pebbles, and Anthony as an adorable Crush (complete with his goldendoodle as Nemo!):
Ava loved all the people and music...
Emmie sharing some super fun leaves from the street with Ava :)
Ava decided to start handing out flyers...for what, we're still not sure...
Next, we headed to mama's old work and dada's current work - HP. The very last HP trick-or-treat now that HP has become HPE! Ava wore the ADORABLE candy corn jumper Auntie DD made her.
With buddy Izzy and her dad, Darren...
Ava wasn't shy at all, trick-or-treating in and out of all the cubes! Here she is giving a high-five to Dee's mentor, Brent...
Ava loves her Uncle Larry...
Izzy's mama, Diana, was kind enough to give Ava Izzy's bucket to borrow. And, boy did Ava love the concept of taking candy from anyone and everyone and putting it in the bucket!
Stealing candy out of someone's bucket...
We saw Uncle Brando at HP too...
But, no Uncle John (my old boss), so I had to take a picture of her at his desk!
Playing in the lockers...
Teri and I with the adorable kiddos - Bryn as a kitty, Izzy as Elmo, Ava as a candy corn (I guess), and Emmie as Pebbles...
Love these mamas and their littles so much!

After getting a balloon animal made (a bunny of course!), we headed over to the pumpkin craft...one week later and Ava is still obsessed with peeling the stickers off this pumpkin and putting them back on :)

And, lastly...a video glimpse into how excited Ava was to be at the Spooktacular!
