Welcome to our blog! Our New Year’s Resolution for 2012 and beyond is to use this as a means to keep in touch with our family and friends.
My family resides in Tucson, AZ, and Dee’s family resides in Bickleton, WA…and we essentially live in the midpoint between the two – Roseville, CA. And we of course have many great friends scattered all about the country. So, we hope you’ll stop by every so often, or subscribe to get our posts automatically, to keep in touch with us! Likewise, we’d love to keep in touch with you and follow your blogs as well, so send ‘em our way if you have one!
So what will you find here? Well, no doubt you will encounter some good stories, sarcasm, boring updates of our weekends, hopefully some exciting updates every so often, recipes, projects we work on…we hope to use it for everything!
One week before Christmas (so about 3 weeks ago now) we purchased our first home in what I like to call Pleasantville (really, it’s Roseville, CA…but no one needs to know). We both love living here – the only things truly missing are our families. We’re situated about 1.5 hours from Tahoe, 45 minutes from Napa Valley, and 2 hours from San Francisco…so there is never a shortage of things to do!
We absolutely love our new home, and since it needs a little TLC and a lot of furniture, I’m sure we’ll have many future posts on projects where we get crafty in making our house a home. It’s really quite exciting for us – a natural next step in the progression of building our lives together – marriage, house,…you fill in the blank of what comes next. :) We’re definitely not ready for puppies I’ll tell you that much!
Yays for today: Officially 100% recovered from the insane flu and sinus infection I had since Xmas morning, Dee joining a basketball team, a beautiful clear blue sky instead of the normal fog on these cold winter days, and the beautiful nature jogging trail that wraps around our neighborhood that I explored and enjoyed today!
Boos for today: this house is an OCD organization and clean freak’s (AKA me, Stephanie!!!) worst nightmare!!! Off to go clean and organize now…off to my happy place. :)
