Ava's First Dance Recital

At the start of 2018, we signed Ava up for a beginning ballet and tap dance class. She had been asking to go for many months, and when we gave her the choice to either continue with gymnastics or do dance, she asked to do dance...and, she loves it to this very day!

She had her first dance recital in June 2018.

What made her first dance recital even extra special was Mimi & Boompa being here for it!

They got to see her first dress rehearsal...

And, the day before the recital, we explored the Folsom Zoo together.

Recital Day! Mimi treated us to manicures, and Ava got her nails painted to match her costume, and put sparkle spray in her hair <3

Excited to see our girl perform! Greyson was too cute - when he saw Ava onstage he'd say "Va va...it's va va!" which is how he says her name. And then, when it was time for another group to perform he'd say, "va va, are you?" which is how he says, "Ava, where are you?" <3

The next day, Boompa stayed home with Greyson while Mimi took Ava, mama and dada to see the Incredibles 2. We're not sure which Ava was more excited about - the movie or eating Mac n Cheese while watching it!

Ava continues to "adore" dancing (as she says), and is very excited for her next recital in December!
