Valentine's Day 2016

We had a special Valentine's Day this year as a family. No longer is it about a fancy dinner out and flowers, but instead it's about spending extra special time together as a family!

We went to the Fountains shopping center where Ava got to ride her beloved choo choo train

She loves these cars so much Mimi & Bumpa bought her one for Easter! :)

After riding the choo choo train, we went out to eat as family (a VERY rare occurrence for us!) at California Pizza Kitchen. Ava loved it and was so well behaved.

After dinner, Dee and I innocently thought, "let's have Ava eat her first gelato." Boy, did we pay for that with an extra hyper toddler for the next four hours!!!

Aside from our day out, Ava got lots of cute outfits from relatives....

Our gift to Ava was a beta fish that she named "Fishy." She just loves Fishy and is so happy to see him every morning. Ava also got fun bath toys from Mimi & Bumpa and new finger paint complete with the message: "Happy Valentine's Day Ava - make a mess for mommy!" Thanks mom and dad! ;)

All in all, the best Valentine's day yet! We had so much enjoying our time out and about together, having fun as a family of three!
