Getting to Arizona was not so much fun since it was me flying with Ava all alone and we had to wake up at 3:30AM to get there. Ugh...it was a very painful day for Ava to say the least. But, you'd never know it by these pics of her traveling...
Dee drove down a day later so that we could take back some things Grandmommy and Grandpa were kind enough to give us from their move.
After arriving, we struggled getting Ava to nap since she was scared to be in a new place and especially sleep in a strange place, but after a catnap in mom's arms she really enjoyed playing with my parents labradoodles, and particularly the new puppy, "Pebbles." For some reason, she thought it was super funny when I'd yell "Pebbles!" as you can see by this short video...

The next day, after Dee arrived, I was so very happy to get to meet up with a good friend of mine from college, Kristen, and finally get to meet her precious baby Evelyn (seriously ties with Ava for cutest baby ever she's so cute)!
After enjoying some tea with those lovely ladies, I headed to Janella's parent's house to take Johnny and Janella's formal engagement pictures. I was so happy they gave me the experience, and really they made my job quite easy. Here's a few of my personal favorites from our shoot...
The next day, Saturday was the party...and boy oh boy did Grandmommy outdo herself throwing it. Here's a few pics of the set-up and festivities...

The party ended with some champagne celebrations...
The next day was our last day, and while Dee headed back on the road, Ava and I had fun lounging around with Grandmommy...Ava absolutely loved splashing in the pool with her Grandmommy, and she REALLY loved playing dress-up in Grandmommy's room. So much so that Grandmommy had to let her keep one of the purses Ava was so fascinated putting stuff in and taking it out.

Enjoy a walk down Grandpa and Grandmommy's drive way, which is essentially like a hike in the beautiful desert foothills since they border the national forest (we'll miss this when they move to Wichita!)...
